Google review management for estate agents
Collect feedback across a long property journey.

The challenge for estate agents
Buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants have different experiences. A process that asks only successful sellers can leave out important feedback.
Choose a useful moment
Choose a clear service milestone for each customer group. Do not make an invitation dependent on a favourable transaction outcome.
A neutral invitation to adapt
Thank you for working with our team. We welcome an honest review of your experience: [review link].
This is example wording. Replace the link with your own direct Google review link. For messages that count as direct marketing, include the required opt-out and check that you can lawfully send them.
Handle feedback with care
Keep property addresses, financial details, offers and tenancy disputes out of public replies.
Keep the public review option available to everyone. Private contact must remain an additional choice, including for unhappy customers.
What to review each month
Look at new reviews, unanswered questions and recurring comments about updates, responsiveness, explanations and management of the process.
These are process checks, not promises of more bookings, better ratings or higher rankings.

Reviews across sales and lettings
Estate agents serve several different customers in one transaction: vendors, buyers, landlords and tenants. Each experiences the service differently, so decide who you will invite and apply it consistently.
Timing for sales
Asking at offer acceptance is too early; a chain can still collapse. Completion day is emotional. A request a few days after completion lets vendors and buyers reflect on the whole process, including how well you handled the chain.
Timing for lettings
For landlords, after the tenancy starts and the first rent is received. For tenants, after they have settled in – perhaps a month into the tenancy – rather than at move-in when they are unpacking.
Branch and negotiator reviews
Send customers the link for the branch that handled their transaction. Reviews that mention negotiators by name are valuable, but be careful not to rank staff publicly on reviews alone.
Industry review platforms
Many agents also use sector review platforms. These complement Google rather than replace it, because most people search Google Maps for “estate agents near me”.
Disputes about deposits and fees
Deposit disputes can lead to angry reviews from tenants. Reply politely, explain that deposits are handled under the relevant protection scheme’s rules, and offer to discuss further. Never share details of the tenancy or the property publicly.
