Google review management for electricians
Help customers choose an electrician with confidence.

The challenge for electricians
Customers want to understand what was done and whether the job has been properly handed over. Reviews can describe their experience without making unsupported safety claims.
Choose a useful moment
After completion and the relevant handover documents, rather than while a fault is still being investigated.
A neutral invitation to adapt
Thank you for choosing us for your electrical work. You are welcome to share an honest review of your experience: [review link].
This is example wording. Replace the link with your own direct Google review link. For messages that count as direct marketing, include the required opt-out and check that you can lawfully send them.
Handle feedback with care
Do not publish inspection results, property details or claims about certification in a customer reply.
Keep the public review option available to everyone. Private contact must remain an additional choice, including for unhappy customers.
What to review each month
Look at new reviews, unanswered questions and recurring comments about communication about access, explanations at handover and tidiness.
These are process checks, not promises of more bookings, better ratings or higher rankings.

What homeowners look for in electricians’ reviews
Electrical work is invisible once finished, so customers rely on reviews to judge safety, tidiness and honesty. Reviews that mention a clear explanation, a fair quote or a certificate delivered on time are more persuasive than “great job”.
Certificates and handover
For notifiable work, the customer should receive the relevant certificate and building control notification. A good moment to ask for a review is when you send the paperwork, because the job is truly complete.
Small jobs add up
Electricians do many small jobs – a socket here, a light fitting there. Those customers rarely think to review, yet together they can build a strong profile. A short text after each job is easier than remembering to ask on the doorstep.
Emergency call-outs
After a power cut or fault, the customer is relieved but stressed. Ask the next day, not at 11pm when you leave.
Scheme membership
If you are registered with a competent person scheme such as NICEIC or NAPIT, mention it on your website. Reviews and registration together reassure customers more than either alone.
Van and invoice QR codes
A QR code on the van door or invoice reaches customers you speak to only briefly. Create one with our free generator, and keep the wording neutral.
